What You’ll Do

  • Deliver effective occupational therapy interventions to patients based on established principles and protocols.
  • Provide mobility and assistive device services within the facility.
  • Participate in research projects to enhance therapy practices and patient care.
  • Facilitate training sessions for health personnel, clients, families, and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to departmental functions and skills development.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified candidates; 1 year relevant experience post-registration for foreign qualified candidates.
  • For Grade 2: At least 10 years of relevant experience post-registration for SA qualified candidates; 11 years for foreign qualified candidates.
  • For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience post-registration for SA qualified candidates; 21 years for foreign qualified candidates.
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
  • Strong analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
