What You’ll Do
- Assess and treat patients with various medical conditions using appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
- Provide training and education for families and caregivers to support patient rehabilitation.
- Manage departmental administration related to patient care and treatment plans.
- Oversee the management of assets and consumables in your designated areas.
- Participate in clinical supervision of undergraduate Occupational Therapy students.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Grade 1: No experience required post-registration; Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience; Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience.
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and good physical ability for patient transfers.
- Knowledge of health legislation, relevant Acts, and Public Service Policies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
