What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the administration and daily operations of the museum.
  • Facilitate, present, and implement public programmes that engage the community.
  • Develop and lead educational outreach programmes for schools and community groups.
  • Conduct research and assist in the organization of exhibitions showcasing cultural artifacts.
  • Promote and market the museum to attract visitors and enhance public relations.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification or higher (NQF 4).
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a cultural or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of museum functions and their role in society, including tourism development.
  • Understanding of museum ethics and collections management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Competency in project planning and financial management.
