What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage landscaping and cleaning plans for the district.
- Monitor and oversee budgets allocated for landscaping and cleaning services.
- Manage the procurement of protective clothing and equipment for landscaping and cleaning tasks.
- Allocate and supervise groundsmen and cleaners serving the district office and various cost centres.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety practices.
- Provide support for cost centre human resource matters and auxiliary functions.
- Develop and implement a waste management plan, including liaising with service providers.
- Monitor and report on the performance and development of staff, ensuring motivation and discipline.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF level 6 in Office Administration, Public Administration, Public Management, Horticulture, or Property Management.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience at a supervisory level in Facilities or Property Management.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for applicants with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of relevant Public Service Acts, regulations, and frameworks.
- Excellent skills in strategic leadership, problem-solving, communication, and people management.
