What You’ll Do
- Participate in clinical trauma and burns services, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
- Supervise surgical trainees rotating through trauma and transplant units.
- Maintain high standards of clinical, professional, and ethical behavior.
- Assist in the teaching of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate surgical trainees.
- Conduct, assist, and stimulate research within ethical guidelines.
- Promote community education on trauma prevention and transplant awareness.
- Respond physically to scene calls and manage unstable cases effectively.
What You’ll Need
- An MBChB or equivalent degree.
- A higher surgical qualification (FCS(SA) and/or MMed Surg).
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Trauma Surgeon.
- A valid registration certificate as a Specialist Trauma Surgeon.
