What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement protocols for managing radiology patients to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Coordinate clinical and administrative tasks within the Radiology Department.
• Participate in hospital committees and liaise with other departments to improve service delivery.
• Train and mentor medical interns, junior doctors, and allied health professionals.
• Engage in research activities relevant to the Radiology Department.
• Ensure efficient outpatient services to reduce waiting times and backlogs.
• Uphold quality assurance standards and departmental policies.
• Actively participate in clinical governance and risk management initiatives.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery plus MMED (Radiology) or FCEM (SA).
• Registration Certificate with the HPCSA as a Radiology Specialist.
• Grade 1: No experience required; Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience; Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of medical practitioners.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of healthcare legislation and policies.
• Experience in the public sector is an advantage.
