What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement protocols for managing radiology patients to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Coordinate clinical and administrative tasks within the Radiology Department.
- Participate in hospital committees and liaise with other departments to improve service delivery.
- Train and mentor medical interns, junior doctors, and allied health professionals.
- Engage in research activities relevant to the Radiology Department.
- Ensure efficient outpatient services to reduce waiting times and backlogs.
- Uphold quality assurance standards and departmental policies.
- Actively participate in clinical governance and risk management initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery plus MMED (Radiology) or FCEM (SA).
- Registration Certificate with the HPCSA as a Radiology Specialist.
- Grade 1: No experience required; Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience; Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist.
- Ability to manage and lead a team of medical practitioners.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of healthcare legislation and policies.
- Experience in the public sector is an advantage.
