What You’ll Do

  • Provide high-quality clinical services in Paediatrics, focusing on outpatient and specialized clinics.
  • Participate in the management and oversight of clinical governance in the outpatient department.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and engage in data analysis to improve service delivery.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and equipment management within the department.
  • Teach, train, and supervise junior medical staff and students, participating in the hospital’s academic programs.
  • Collaborate with the Metro East health ecosystem to promote child health initiatives at a district level.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Medical Specialist in Paediatrics.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required after registration.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience post-registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience post-registration.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Strong clinical care capabilities, including excellent medical record keeping.
  • Proficient in administrative, managerial, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
