What You’ll Do

• Provide specialist care to in-patients and out-patients in the Department of Rheumatology.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, registrars, and sub-speciality trainees in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
• Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate training programs within the department.
• Engage in quality assurance activities and administrative responsibilities.
• Contribute to outreach, education, and research initiatives of the unit.
• Participate in after-hours calls and be an active member of multi-disciplinary teams as needed.

What You’ll Need

• MBChB and FCP(SA) or equivalent qualifications.
• Registration certificate with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist Physician.
• For Grade 1: No experience required, but appropriate qualifications and registration are necessary.
• For Grade 2: Requires at least 5 years of experience after registration with HPCSA as a Specialist Physician.
• For Grade 3: Requires at least 10 years of experience after registration with HPCSA as a Specialist Physician.
• A keen interest in Rheumatology is advantageous, especially for candidates seeking to join the training program.
