What You’ll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide forensic and social services to patients in need.
  • Manage and utilize physical and financial resources effectively.
  • Engage in clinical governance and uphold standards of quality care.
  • Participate in training and development programs for staff.
  • Oversee effective data management and reporting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct in all practices.
  • Conduct outreach services to guide healthcare colleagues in managing complex cases.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Relevant experience:
  • Grade 1: No experience required for SA qualified employees; 1 year for foreign qualified.
  • Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years for SA qualified employees; 6 years for foreign qualified.
  • Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years for SA qualified employees; 11 years for foreign qualified.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Valid Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates.
  • Competence in general medical and surgical conditions at the PHC level.
  • Familiarity with South African TB and HIV care guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and strong interpersonal skills.
