What You’ll Do
- Provide effective clinical training to student nurses in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Develop, design, review, and evaluate clinical evaluation tools to assess competencies.
- Coordinate clinical learning experiences between campus and clinical settings.
- Implement assessment strategies to measure student performance and competencies.
- Exercise control and oversight over student nurses during their clinical exposure.
- Implement quality management systems for the Nursing Education Institution.
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities at the campus.
- Engage actively in governance structures of the college.
- Support the mission and promote the image of the college in the community.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate/Grade 12.
- A Diploma/Degree in Nursing and Midwifery.
- A post-registration qualification in Nursing Education, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) until 2026.
- A minimum of four (4) years appropriate experience in General Nursing for Grade 1 (PND 1) or fourteen (14) years for Grade 2 (PND 2), including ten (10) years in Nursing Education after obtaining the post-basic qualification.
- Additional qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Nursing or postgraduate nursing qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, nursing practice, and education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
- Competence in research and analytical skills, with a willingness to travel.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.

Senior Certificate/Grade 12 Plus A Diploma/Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Plus A post registration qualification in Nursing Education registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) Plus Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) 2026 Plus A minimum of four (4) years appropriate/ recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing (in the case of grade 1 PND 1) or A minimum of fourteen (14) years appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing of which ten (10) years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the 1 year post-basic qualification (in the case of grade 2 PND 2) NB (Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit proof of all documents and certificate of Service endorsed by Human Resources) Additional Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing Postgraduate Nursing qualification Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Possess knowledge of relevant Legislation, Acts, Prescripts and Policy frameworks informing the area 156 of operation.Have in-depth knowledge of procedures and process related to nursing practice and nursing education.
Knowledge of nursing education programmes and curriculum Possess sound knowledge and understanding of nursing code of ethics and professional practice.
Possess in depth knowledge of teaching and clinical approaches.
Have good research and analytical skills.
Competence in conflict management.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel.
Computer Literacy.
Job Duties
Provide an effective and efficient clinical training of student nurses in both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes Develop/design, review and evaluate clinical evaluation tools.Co-ordinate clinical learning exposure of student nurses between the Campus and Clinical areas.
Implement assessment strategies to determine student nurses’ competencies.
Exercise control over student nurses Implement the quality management system for Nursing Education Institution.
Participate in the provisioning of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities at the Campus.
Participate in all governance structures of the College.
Support the mission and promote the image of the college.
