What You’ll Do

  • Analyse and implement new application requirements to enhance system functionalities.
  • Develop future application systems that meet the needs of the department and its stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality of delivered solutions through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing application systems to maintain optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Compile and assess user feedback to continually improve software performance and user experience.
  • Develop technical documentation to support current and future software development projects.
  • Participate in ICT projects, system upgrades, and initiatives aimed at digital transformation.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements related to application updates and guidelines.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or a National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in systems analysis, software development, and software testing.
  • Database knowledge in Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and experience with the Spring Boot Java framework.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic, C#, Java, XML, Angular, and any BI reporting tools is desirable.
  • Strong computer literacy and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • A commitment to integrity and honesty in all aspects of work.
