What You’ll Do

  • Manage the overall performance of the sub-directorate, ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Direct the management of logistical services, including the safeguarding of regional assets.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment through effective people management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices in public finance management.

What You’ll Need

  • A 3-year qualification, such as a National Diploma or B-Degree in Public Finance and/or Accounting or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of middle management experience in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and best practices related to financial management and public service.
  • Strong understanding of project management and operational management practices.
  • Familiarity with the local political, economic, and social affairs impacting public service in the Western Cape.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on performance management and team development.
