What You’ll Do

  • Clean and maintain premises and surroundings, including emptying bins and removing refuse.
  • Water and care for gardens, including pruning flowers and trees, mowing grass, and removing weeds.
  • Cultivate soil for planting flowers and trees, ensuring healthy growth.
  • Maintain gardening tools and equipment, performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Keep gardening materials organized and equipment clean after use.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF Level 2 recognized by SAQA.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and health and safety measures.
  • Understanding of working procedures in various environments.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to organize tasks effectively.

Requirements

A qualification at NQF Level 2 as recognized by SAQA.

Knowledge And Skills: cleaning equipment.

Health and safety measures.

Working procedures in respect of working environment.

Basic numeracy.

Basic interpersonal relationship.

Job Duties

Maintain premises and surroundings: clean premises and surroundings.

Empty dirty bins.

Maintain the Garden: Watering the garden.

Prune and trim flowers and trees.

Mow the grass.

Remove weeds and garden refuse.

Apply insecticides.

Cultivate the soil for trees and flowers.

Maintain gardening equipment and tools: Detect and report malfunction of gardening equipment and tools.

Repair minor defects of gardening equipment and tools.

Keep gardening materials and equipment: Cleaning of machines and equipment after use request gardening materials.

Salary

R144 024 per annum (Level 02)
