About the Opportunity

The GIBB YES Programme is part of the Youth Employment Service initiative, aimed at reducing youth unemployment by providing practical workplace experience. This programme offers young South Africans, including those with disabilities, the chance to develop new skills and improve their employment prospects.

Closing Date

– IT, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and SVA Architecture: 31 August 2026
– Business Admin, Project Administrator, and Mining & Power Mechanical Engineering: 30 September 2026

Key Responsibilities

Participants will engage in real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience and developing essential skills in their respective fields.

Requirements/Qualifications

– Business Admin: National Diploma or Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Management, Procurement, Project Management, or related fields.
– Project Administrator: National Diploma in Business Administration with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
– Mining & Power Mechanical Engineering: Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science, and English; BTech or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
– IT: Qualification with exposure to SQL Server, C#, and Power BI/Dashboards.
– Civil Engineering: Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science, and English; BSc or BEng Degree in Civil Engineering.
– Electrical Engineering: Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science, and English; BSc or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering.
– Architecture: Qualification in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
