What You’ll Do
- Supervise and authorise financial accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle payment queries and authorise payments through the LOGIS system.
- Compile and verify journals from subordinates, ensuring all supporting documents are attached.
- Administer LOGIS commitments on BAS to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Schedule and lead quarterly meetings between Finance and Supply Chain Management for effective communication.
- Prepare inputs for Interim and Annual Financial Statements, ensuring thorough oversight of financial reporting.
- Oversee human resources and staff performance to maintain a productive work environment.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial administration, particularly in payments and suspense accounts.
- Strong knowledge of financial functions, basic accounting systems, and public service financial regulations (PFMA and Treasury Regulations).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and office equipment.
- Strong numeracy skills, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership qualities with the capacity to manage conflicts and resolve issues efficiently.
- Aptitude for figures and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
