What You’ll Do

  • Mainstream HIV/AIDS and TB education and prevention into departmental functions.
  • Plan and conduct regular health screenings for employees.
  • Distribute wellness information materials and articles to promote awareness.
  • Coordinate health management services, including chronic illness education sessions.
  • Organize mental health information sessions and liaise with mental health institutions.
  • Promote occupational health and safety, focusing on injury prevention and safety behaviours.
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions for employees and their families.
  • Support managers in handling wellness-related employee challenges.
  • Encourage physical wellness through sports activities and retirement planning sessions.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Social Science or a behavioural-related field.
  • Registration with professional bodies such as SACSSP and HPCSA.
  • Relevant experience in health and wellness practices.
  • Knowledge of HIV as a developmental issue and counselling techniques.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and conduct research.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
