What You’ll Do

  • Drive the veterinary mobile clinic vehicle to various locations safely and efficiently.
  • Transport veterinary and para-veterinary staff to service points.
  • Ensure the safe transport of veterinary equipment, medicines, vaccines, and supplies.
  • Assist with loading and off-loading supplies and equipment at service locations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs.
  • Report any mechanical faults and arrange for necessary repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the vehicle and its equipment.
  • Assist in setting up and packing up the mobile clinic at service locations.
  • Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and occupational health standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • A minimum of 2 years of driving experience, ideally with government or heavy vehicles.
  • A valid driver’s licence (code C1/code 10) and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous, especially proficiency in English.
  • Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work after hours when required.
  • Basic mechanical insight and problem-solving skills.
