What You’ll Do

  • Develop procurement plans for the district while ensuring compliance with budget allocations.
  • Liaise with programme heads to identify and source necessary inputs.
  • Monitor and assess existing procurement plans to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs analysis and future planning for the district’s procurement.
  • Perform commodity and industry analyses to inform procurement strategies.
  • Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while achieving value for money.
  • Supervise and support allocated resources, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Manage employee performance and facilitate development opportunities.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate or a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Public Management, Public Administration, Purchase Management, or Procurement.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in Demand Management.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong skills in people management, report writing, negotiation, and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and financial management.
