What You’ll Do

  • Manage the implementation of the Human Resource Development Strategy aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Oversee regular skills audits and training needs analyses to identify competency gaps within the department.
  • Assess the impact of skills development initiatives on departmental performance and recommend necessary improvements.
  • Develop and review bursary guidelines and facilitate the bursary scheme to build internal capacity.
  • Introduce e-learning platforms and digital learning solutions to promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Coordinate and facilitate induction programs for new and existing employees.
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management systems that integrate AI-driven insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all training and development programs and evaluate their impact using data analytics.

What You’ll Need

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Human Resource Development, Public Management, Industrial Psychology, or a relevant field.
  • Successful completion of the Pre-entry Certificate for Public Sector Senior Management Leadership endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience at a Middle/Senior Managerial level in human resource utilisation and development.
  • Knowledge of relevant human resource frameworks, including performance management and HRD policies.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
