What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation of water services infrastructure grant programmes in the provincial operations.
- Participate in feasibility studies and project planning to develop technical reports and designs.
- Foster partnerships among government entities, public organizations, and private sectors to enhance water service delivery.
- Ensure proper budgeting for water services infrastructure projects within the medium-term expenditure framework.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of infrastructure development programmes to ensure compliance with targets.
- Facilitate integrated regional bulk planning and implementation processes.
- Define roles and responsibilities for various stakeholders within the water sector.
- Address queries from water service management and engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Oversee project implementation, financial management, and planning for readiness studies.
- Compile progress reports on regional bulk infrastructure projects monthly, quarterly, and annually.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant NQF level 7 qualification in Civil Engineering or a postgraduate diploma in Project Management.
- A minimum of five years’ managerial experience in an engineering project management environment.
- Proven experience in planning and constructing infrastructure projects.
- A valid unexpired driver’s license.
- A comprehensive understanding of water and sanitation project implementation.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in computer programs, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
