What You’ll Do

  • Develop annual performance plans and operational strategies that align with departmental goals.
  • Assess the implementation of policies and evaluate the sustainability of departmental programmes.
  • Manage the submission of strategic and annual performance plans to relevant authorities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on planning processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders regarding strategic planning issues.
  • Ensure the quality of departmental planning documents and templates.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide advisory services to ensure alignment with national plans.
  • Support the development of performance indicators and ensure compliance with government frameworks.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF level 7) in Business Management, Strategic Management, or Public Management.
  • A post-graduate qualification (NQF level 8) is advantageous.
  • At least 6 years of experience in strategic planning, including 3 years in a junior management role.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic management frameworks and government planning cycles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in project management, risk management, and evaluation methodologies.
  • A valid driver’s license.
