What You’ll Do

  • Conduct and manage comprehensive socio-economic research and analysis.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of NSF projects on beneficiaries.
  • Undertake cost-benefit analyses to assess the value of NSF programmes.
  • Identify the demand for critical skills across various economic sectors.
  • Align training programmes with the NSF’s strategic interventions.
  • Provide evidence and analysis to support strategic planning and reporting.
  • Draft detailed reports on NSF’s progress against targets and publish research findings.
  • Collaborate with the skills planning mechanism within the Department of Higher Education and Training.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Economics, Econometrics, or Statistics (NQF Level 7).
  • 3 to 5 years of collective experience in the research field, including 3 years at a junior management level.
  • Proven experience in economic research and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, or SAS.
  • Knowledge of government legislation and public service mandates.
  • Excellent writing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
