What You’ll Do

• Monitor and coordinate the compilation of price indices programs.
• Oversee the data analysis process for Price Statistics Compilation.
• Manage the editing and validation of price statistics data.
• Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of Price Statistics Compilation Systems.
• Coordinate the compilation and dissemination of Price Statistics.
• Lead and manage staff and other resources effectively.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree/NQF 7 in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
• A minimum of three to four years of experience at an Assistant Director level in a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of statistical and economic principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and statistical software such as SAS.
• Excellent managerial skills and a high level of numeracy.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative in leading projects.
