What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic support to the Executive Office and advise on key initiatives.
- Ensure effective coordination and oversight of strategic initiatives within the NSF.
- Plan and implement strategic initiatives in line with the NSF’s mission.
- Conduct assessments to measure the success of strategic decisions and initiatives.
- Develop and compile reports on strategic initiatives required within the directorate.
- Scrutinise documents to determine required actions or information.
- Record minutes and resolutions, communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare briefing notes and other documents for meetings.
- Coordinate branch meetings and oversee logistics.
- Manage parliamentary enquiries with stakeholders.
- Assist the Executive Officer in formulating policy recommendations.
- Supervise administrative functions within the office.
- Maintain efficiency in office operations by implementing administrative measures.
- Manage resources and monitor expenditure within the directorate.
- Support the implementation of management decisions and manage employee matters.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF Level 7) in Public Management, Administration, or Project Management.
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience, including three to five years at a junior management level.
- Proven experience in project management and resource management.
- Knowledge of public service and NSF mandates and strategies.
- Familiarity with education systems and government legislation relevant to skills development.
- Strong strategic capability, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and good computer skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
