What You’ll Do
- Develop and review monitoring policies and tools to enhance departmental effectiveness.
- Conduct research to stay updated on the latest trends in monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure the implementation of structured reporting frameworks and indicators.
- Oversee the administration of sector coordination for performance information.
- Facilitate training sessions for departmental units on monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Monitor compliance with service standards and strategic decisions from EXCO and Cabinet.
- Engage with provinces to ensure alignment with national planning and evaluation forums.
- Compile and submit detailed reports on performance and budgetary alignment.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Social Sciences, Auditing, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience at the Junior Management level in research, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes and governmental guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and project management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
