The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Deputy Director: Monitoring and Evaluation based in Pretoria. What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Departmental Annual Performance Plan framework.
  • Analyze and assess strategic and annual performance plans to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
  • Develop performance indicators and measurements for effective monitoring.
  • Compile comprehensive feedback reports that address discrepancies in strategic and annual performance plans.
  • Provide inputs for tools used in monitoring and evaluating the department’s performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support the implementation of planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices in planning and governance frameworks.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification with a minimum National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of experience, including 2 years at an Assistant Director level or equivalent in strategic monitoring and planning.
  • Knowledge of the consolidation of Departmental Performance and Strategic Plans.
  • Familiarity with the Government’s Policy Framework.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating policies and information.
