What You’ll Do

  • Implement and manage the project initiation and evaluation lifecycle for NSF funding processes
  • Oversee and coordinate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Expressions of Interest (EOIs)
  • Conduct due diligence processes, including site visits and verification of applicants’ credibility
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendation packs for governance structures
  • Manage funding application tracking and evaluation processes, ensuring compliance with governance standards
  • Lead and support a team, fostering a collaborative environment within the Directorate
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of funded programs
  • Engage with stakeholders across the PSET sector to promote skills development initiatives

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF Level 7) in relevant fields such as Development Studies, Public Administration, or Project Management
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in project management or program funding, with at least three years in a junior management role
  • Proven expertise in project initiation, evaluation, and funding administration
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ICT systems, with a valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
