What You’ll Do

  • Manage the project initiation process, including RFPs for solicited projects.
  • Oversee the receipt, logging, and evaluation of unsolicited project applications.
  • Prepare draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with service providers.
  • Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework for projects.
  • Conduct due diligence on bidders, ensuring the accuracy of information received.
  • Support the Grant Disbursement Committees by evaluating bid applications.
  • Coordinate committee meetings and manage administrative responsibilities, including minute-taking.
  • Engage with stakeholders and receive progress reports from middle management.
  • Conduct independent reviews and prepare post-implementation reports for funded projects.
  • Participate actively within the Directorate to promote collaborative success.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF 7) in Public Management, Business Management, Project Management, or related fields.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in project management, with at least three years in junior management.
  • Strong skills in project management and document analysis.
  • Familiarity with public service delivery and management issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Skills Development Act and Public Finance Management Act.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required for this position.
