What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic and executive leadership for the Immigration Services Branch.
• Manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively.
• Guide implementation of immigration legislation and operational modernization initiatives.
• Lead digital transformation programs, including the development of secure immigration systems.
• Oversee the administration of immigration functions in compliance with the Immigration Act.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and partnerships with various institutions and agencies.
• Develop and implement policies and frameworks aligned with legislative requirements.
• Ensure the effective delivery of immigration services and achievement of performance targets.
• Foster a culture of ethical governance and people-centred service delivery.

What You’ll Need

• A qualification at NQF level 8 in Law, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience at a Senior Management Service level in a complex environment.
• Proven experience in strategic leadership within a large organization, preferably in immigration or regulatory administration.
• Extensive knowledge of South Africa’s Constitution and immigration management frameworks.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, operational management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on client orientation.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
