What You’ll Do

• Guide and implement statistical plans according to the Integrated Indicator Framework (IIF).
• Monitor and coordinate the flow of statistical data between South Africa and international entities.
• Oversee the validation of data from the National Statistical System (NSS) for both national and international use.
• Develop, apply, and review new validation standards and frameworks.
• Manage staff and resources effectively to enhance departmental performance.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree/NQF Level 7 in Statistics, Demography, Econometrics, Economics, or Development Studies.
• 3-4 years of experience in a statistics environment at the ASD level.
• Training in project management and statistical analysis, with proficiency in SAS or other statistical packages.
• Strong knowledge of statistical legislation, data management, and indicator development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
• Innovative thinking, creativity, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
