What You’ll Do
- Assess and fulfil the human resource requirements of the district to ensure effective staffing.
- Manage the recruitment process, ensuring adherence to the principles of representivity.
- Oversee performance management systems to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction.
- Coordinate skills development initiatives in line with organisational goals.
- Address labour relations matters and promote a healthy working environment.
- Implement employee health and wellness programmes to support staff wellbeing.
- Manage information and technology services, ensuring efficient records management.
- Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to stakeholders.
- Supervise the activities of the Sub-Directorate, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and either a National Diploma (NQF-6) or a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF-7) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years at the Assistant Director level.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of Public Service Regulations, the Public Service Act, and HR policies.
- Proficiency in the PERSAL system.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, conflict resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability in report writing, planning, organising, and project management.
