What You’ll Do

  • Lead the delivery of an integrated mobility system within the Western Cape.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with government entities, NGOs, and the private sector.
  • Coordinate public transport integration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement mobility policies and strategies across the province.
  • Manage vehicle administration, licensing, and traffic law enforcement services.
  • Drive innovation in public transport and logistics while promoting road safety.
  • Oversee financial management and budget processes for the department.
  • Evaluate and report on departmental performance to the Provincial Minister.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification at NQF level 8 as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior managerial role.
  • Completion of the Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS).
  • Technical knowledge in transport, freight, and logistics sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience in the public sector or urban mobility.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience across government and private sectors.
  • An understanding of sustainability trends and global best practices in mobility.
