What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and administer all stages of the bid process, ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.
- Implement and maintain an effective bid/quotation process, ensuring functionality of bid committees.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database for effective procurement management.
- Interpret and apply procurement regulations and governance frameworks, monitoring compliance and escalating issues as needed.
- Serve as the primary liaison between management, bid committees, and service suppliers, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Track bid outcomes and provide periodic performance reports to management, ensuring all committee procedures are coordinated efficiently.
- Manage the sub-directorate, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and compliance with policies.
What You’ll Need
- Senior National Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF-6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF-7) in Supply Chain Management or a relevant qualification.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least three years in a junior managerial role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Supply Chain Management Framework and relevant procurement regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
