What You’ll Do

  • Manage the identification of needs for new services and minor repairs to existing structures.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of new works, repairs, and renovations.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with relevant documents and regulations, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Supervise and manage contractors and consultants involved in various projects.
  • Gather and submit information related to the Extended Public Works Programme.
  • Oversee the operations of the service point to ensure smooth functioning.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and an appropriate National Diploma (T/N/S Streams) or N3 along with a passed Trade Test in the building environment or registration as an Engineering Technician.
  • More than 6 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulation, Labour Relation Act, Public Finance Management Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction Manual, and Ribbon Development Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to interact effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
