What You’ll Do

  • Provide clinical services in the Andrology and Embryology laboratories
  • Engage in academic teaching and training for junior staff and colleagues
  • Manage and audit clinical data and laboratory services within the Reproductive Medicine Unit
  • Participate in academic activities to enhance laboratory standards
  • Oversee laboratory management to ensure efficient operations

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Technologist in Reproductive Biology
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist in Reproductive Biology
  • Relevant experience:
  • Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified; one year for foreign qualified without Community Service
  • Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience for RSA qualified; 11 years for foreign qualified
  • Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience for RSA qualified; 21 years for foreign qualified
  • Competencies in computer literacy, data management, and administrative systems
  • Clinical experience in assisted reproductive techniques and knowledge of Clinical Reproductive Biology
