What You’ll Do

  • Perform echocardiograms and report findings independently
  • Assist with procedures in the Echo Laboratory and invasive/non-invasive laboratories
  • Engage in cardiac catheterization, pacing, electrophysiology, exercise stress testing, holter monitoring, and cardiac nuclear scans
  • Maintain accurate statistics and participate in research initiatives
  • Handle after-hours emergency call-out duties, including weekends and public holidays
  • Contribute to departmental outreach and teaching programs as needed

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma or B Tech Degree in Clinical Technology (Cardiology)
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Clinical Technologist (Cardiology)
  • Registration with HPCSA in Cardiology as an Independent Practitioner
  • Relevant experience based on your qualifications and registration status
  • Knowledge of echocardiographic procedures and ultrasound equipment
  • Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with both adult and paediatric diagnostic and interventional procedures
