About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Program Coordinator to join their team at Leratong Hospital, located in the vibrant city of Krugersdorp, Gauteng. What You’ll Do
- Implement and oversee the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the COID Act.
- Conduct workplace hazard identification and risk assessments in collaboration with management.
- Develop and facilitate training programs for all personnel on safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to occupational health and safety.
- Participate in institutional and provincial committees to enhance service quality.
- Assist in the management of waste and injury on duty (IOD) cases.
- Work closely with infection prevention and control (IPC) and employee assistance program (EAP) coordinators.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- A R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with SANC as a professional nurse.
- Current registration with SANC.
- A minimum of 7 years of recognisable nursing experience, with at least 3 years in an Occupational Health and Safety environment.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Occupational Health and Safety accredited by SANC.
- Basic computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, COID Act, and related legal frameworks.
- Strong communication, organizational, and report writing skills.
