What You’ll Do

  • Conduct thorough analyses of grievances and complaints from employees across the province.
  • Draft charges and finalize all misconduct cases, ensuring a fair process.
  • Represent the department in hearings at the General Public Service Sectoral Bargaining Council (GPSSBC) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
  • Facilitate advocacy sessions on employment-related matters to educate staff and stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support services to enhance the efficiency of the section.

What You’ll Need

  • A three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or an undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in Human Resources Management, Employment Relations, Labour Law, or Bachelor of Law (LLB).
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of public service rules regarding complaints and grievances, departmental policies, and relevant labour laws.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with proficiency in research, analytical thinking, and report writing.
