What You’ll Do

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the delivery of clinical and administrative services at the hospital.
  • Engage with key stakeholders at provincial and public forums to advocate for the hospital’s interests.
  • Develop strategic plans in line with national and provincial health frameworks.
  • Manage financial resources, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Implement policies and procedures for effective financial management and resource mobilization.
  • Oversee risk management and asset management to safeguard hospital assets.
  • Lead a team of executive managers to drive operational improvements and enhance service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate and a qualification in a clinical field (NQF level 8) recognized by SAQA.
  • At least 8 years of experience at a Senior Management level within the health sector.
  • Registration with the relevant Professional Council.
  • Completion of the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme Certificate (Nyukela) prior to appointment.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Health Act, PFMA, and related public service regulations.
  • Proven competencies in strategic leadership, financial management, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

National Senior Certificate, a qualification in a clinical field (NQF level 8) as recognized by SAQA.

A minimum of 8 years’ experience at Senior Management level in the Health Sector.

Registration with the relevant Professional Council.

Senior Management Pre-entry Programme Certificate (Nyukela) required prior to appointment.

Knowledge of relevant such as National Health Act, (PFMA), Public Service Act and related regulations and policies.

Competencies: Strategic capability and leadership, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management, Change Management, People Management and Empowerment, Service Delivery Innovation, Knowledge Management, Problem Solving and Analysis, Communication, Client Orientation and Customer focus.

A valid driver’s licence.

Job Duties

To plan, direct coordinate and manage the efficient and effective delivery of clinical and administration support services through working the key executive management team at the hospital within the legal regulatory framework.

To present the Hospital Authoritatively at provincial and public forums.

To provide Strategic leadership to improve operational effectively within the health establishment to improve health outcomes.

Strategic Planning: Prepare a strategic Plan for the Hospital to ensure it is in Line with the 10-point plan, national, provincial, regional and district plan.

Finance Management: Maximize revenue through Collection of all income due to the hospital, ensure that Hospital is managed within the budget in line with the PFMA and Relevant guidelines.

Ensure that adequate policies, systems and Procedures are in place to enable prudent management of financial resources.

Planning of financial resources mobilization.

Monitoring and evaluation and Asset and Risk management.

Finance management: Maximize revenue through Collection of 102 all income due to the hospital, ensure that Hospital is managed within the budget in line with the PFMA and Relevant guidelines.

Ensure that adequate policies, systems and Procedures are in place to enable prudent management of financial resources.

Planning of financial resources mobilization.

Monitoring and evaluation, and Asset and Risk Management.

Salary

R1 885 710 – R2 124 237 per annum (Level 15), (all-inclusive remuneration package). The package includes a basic salary (70% of package), and a flexible portion that may be structured in accordance with the rules for Senior Management Services
