What You’ll Do

  • Support and monitor the province’s infrastructure departments and municipalities.
  • Review, evaluate, and analyze infrastructure reports to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Provide technical support and specialized reports for assessing infrastructure project effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of infrastructure projects within the province.
  • Audit Civil Engineering professional accounts and final contracts as needed.
  • Mentor candidate engineers, technicians, and other staff within the infrastructure value chain.
  • Manage both human and financial resources efficiently.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, BTech, B.Eng, or BSc in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 07).
  • Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer or Technologist.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in Civil Engineering, particularly in roads, building construction, supervision, and maintenance.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Strong technical, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently across various levels.
  • Knowledge of national and international built environment regulations and standards.
  • A willingness to travel as required.
