The Groote Schuur Hospital is looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager Nursing (Specialty: Night Duty) to provide exceptional leadership and management on night duty. What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage nursing services during night duty, ensuring high standards of care.
- Coordinate person-centered care by establishing and monitoring care standards.
- Participate in policy and guideline development to enhance nursing practices.
- Oversee nursing quality improvement projects and monitor care standards.
- Manage human and financial resources effectively on night shifts.
- Facilitate training and research opportunities to promote professional growth among nursing staff.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent that allows for registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in one of the R212 specialties, accredited with the SANC, with a minimum of one year’s duration.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in nursing after obtaining registration with the SANC, with at least 6 years in a relevant specialty.
- A minimum of 3 years of management-level experience.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing legislation and ethical practices, along with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
