What You’ll Do
- Delegate and supervise nursing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of nursing care plans.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in the creation and review of nursing guidelines and procedures.
- Manage and oversee the utilization of resources, ensuring efficiency.
- Initiate health promotion activities and provide accurate health information.
- Contribute to the evaluation of nursing standards and practices.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent).
- Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- At least 8 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of PFMA, Batho Pele Principles, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Strong managerial, communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with six key priority areas in healthcare.
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.

Requirements
Basic R425 qualification i.e.
Diploma / Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
A minimum of 8 years’ appropriate experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC of which at least 3 years should be at a managerial level.
Ability to work in a multi- disciplinary team.
Knowledge of PFMA, Batho Pele Principles, Patient Rights Charter and other relevant legal frameworks, Labour Relations and Public Service Acts.
Managerial and communication (both written and verbal), report writing and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of six key priority areas, ability to work under pressure.
A valid driver’s licence.
Computer literacy.
Job Duties
Delegate, supervise and coordinate the provision of effective and effective patient care through adequate nursing care.Coordinate and monitor the implementation of nursing care plan and evaluation thereof.
Develop, establish and maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders (interprofessional, intersectoral and multi-disciplinary teamwork).
Participate in the analysis, formulation and implementation of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and procedures.
Manage and monitor proper utilization of human, financial and physical resources.
Initiate and participate in health promotion to ensure consistent communication of relevant, accurate and comprehensive information on health care.
