What You’ll Do

  • Develop the business plan in alignment with the department’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage demand and acquisition processes to ensure timely supply of resources.
  • Oversee effective asset management to maintain and optimize department resources.
  • Provide purchasing and stores management to ensure efficient inventory control.
  • Manage transport management services within the institutions for streamlined operations.
  • Handle financial, administrative, and related functions related to supply chain management.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in lower management or supervisory roles within Supply Chain Management.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Acts, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Proven capabilities in policy analysis, report writing, and problem-solving.
  • Honesty, confidentiality, and customer care skills, along with logistical literacy.
