What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage payments for rates, taxes, and municipal services related to state-owned properties.
  • Implement long-term strategies to optimize municipal services expenditure.
  • Maintain a comprehensive property expenditure management system to minimize fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
  • Assist in compiling the sub-directorate’s budget and maintaining an accurate asset register.
  • Record and monitor all financial transactions related to property throughout its lifecycle using PMIS.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and frameworks to achieve good audit reports.
  • Lead and manage staff performance in line with the Performance Management System.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/National Diploma) in Economics, Finance Management, Accounting, Internal Auditing, Real Estate, or Business Management.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least three years of relevant experience at a supervisory level.
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge of financial and payment systems.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage various stakeholder relationships effectively.
