What You’ll Do

  • Implement processes and guidelines for researching and verifying political pension applications.
  • Conduct thorough research on trends related to special pension applicants.
  • Develop concise research methodologies for political verifications.
  • Ensure compliance with GPAA strategic objectives while delivering effective services.
  • Perform risk assessments on verification processes for pension applicants.
  • Liaise with relevant organs to validate information on special pension status.
  • Compile and present qualitative and quantitative reports on political involvement of pension beneficiaries.
  • Manage the collation and distribution of special pension research information.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of verification files for the research team.
  • Mentor and manage the performance of unit staff, including recruitment and HR processes.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant three-year National Diploma or Degree (at least 360 credits).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in research and administration of special pensions.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or junior management experience.
  • Knowledge of the Special Pensions Act and Public Finance Management Act.
  • Understanding of employee benefits and the retirement fund industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and effective communication at all levels.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
