What You’ll Do
- Implement and manage logistics management systems, procedures, and processes.
- Oversee user profiles and asset classifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers for accurate item control numbers and pricing.
- Prepare for year-end closures and audits as required.
- Provide management information, statistics, and reports on logistics operations.
- Ensure the integrity and compliance of the Logistical Information System (LOGIS).
- Monitor and manage the movement of requests and inventory levels.
- Initiate and ensure timely payments for goods and services within the stipulated timeframe.
- Manage stores, warehousing, and fleet services to optimize operational efficiency.
- Administer the Official Flight, Transport, and Accommodation Request processes.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Logistics Management, Financial Management, Public Administration, or a related field (NQF Level 6).
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a logistics and transport environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Public Service Policies and Regulations, Treasury Regulations, and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Proficiency in the Basic Accounting System (BAS) and Logistical Information System (LOGIS).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a good organizing ability.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise with various management levels.

Requirements
Minimum requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Logistics Management / Financial Management / Public Administration / Public Management / Purchasing Management or related equivalent qualifications (NQF Level 6).Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in Logistics and Transport environment.

Knowledge of Treasury Regulations and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).

Ability to liaise at different levels of management and ability to perform supply chain management services.

Job Duties
Implement logistics management systems, procedures and processes.Manage user profiles.

Link supplier Item Control Number (ICN), unit price, etc.
Coordinate year-end closure for audit purposes as required.
Provide management information, statistics and reports.
Monitor movement of requests.
Ensure the integrity of LOGIS.
Verify compliance before 70 capturing on LOGIS.
Ensure processing of orders.
Manage inventory levels.
Initiate payments for goods, services and assets.
Ensure payments within 30 days.
Validate and reconcile payment for goods, services and assets.
Manage creditor’s reconciliation.
Manage stores and warehousing.
Ensure effective systems aimed at improving service turnaround times (0 to 9).
Ensure optimum utilisation of stores and warehousing.
Manage fleet services and travel arrangements.
Management of Official Flight, Transport and Accommodation Request (OFTAR) and Departmental Official Transport Request (DOTR) requests.
Reconcile payments against OFTAR and DOTR requests.
Administer Government Garage (GG) and subsidised vehicles.
Administer fleet and travel management services.
