What You’ll Do

  • Manage inspectorate operations within your assigned district office.
  • Provide recommendations on immigration transgression cases to regional management.
  • Represent the department in security cluster forums.
  • Conduct effective investigations into breaches of immigration legislation.
  • Review and ensure the quality of investigation reports and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute quality assurance and data quality strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze inspection and investigation statistics, reporting trends to management.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and other stakeholders on high-profile cases.
  • Oversee deportation processes to ensure they are handled humanely and efficiently.
  • Assist in policy development and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Coach and guide staff on best practices in immigration functions.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, LLB, Policing, Criminology, Forensics, Paralegal, or Criminal Justice (NQF level 6).
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a law enforcement or legal environment.
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework and related Acts.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/C1/C/EC1) and Public Driver Permit (PDP).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
