What You’ll Do
- Support forecasting of short, medium, and long-term educator demand in the education sector
- Analyze and monitor educator allocation and mobility trends
- Assist in commissioning research on teacher demand, supply, and utilization
- Develop and support systems and tools for effective educator demand planning
- Monitor and manage educator utilization to ensure every class has a qualified teacher
- Report on Post Provisioning processes in the education sector
- Oversee implementation of policies related to educator remuneration, including salary agreements
- Coordinate work related to the HEDCOM Subcommittee on Human Resource Matters
- Manage the National Recruitment Database and respond to HR data requests and public inquiries
- Draft reports and submissions relevant to the role
- Handle HR-related queries and liaise with provincial education departments
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate three-year (NQF level 6) post-matric qualification in Human Resource Planning/Management or equivalent
- At least three years of relevant supervisory experience in human resource management within the education sector
- In-depth understanding of human resource planning and provisioning in the public education sector
- Experience in data capturing, management, and analysis for compiling accurate reports
- Familiarity with the Post Provisioning Model and norms for allocating teaching posts
- Ability to work with large databases, particularly the National Recruitment Database
- Strong data analysis skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relations and the ability to work under pressure
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
