What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain an efficient case management system for the department.
  • Acknowledge and register all incoming cases, ensuring timely handling.
  • Analyze reports to determine grounds for misconduct and oversee investigations.
  • Liaise with Labour Union representatives and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Facilitate dispute resolution processes and attend conciliation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate disciplinary processes, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Promote fair labour relations practices within the department.
  • Develop labour relations policies, manuals, and guidelines to enhance operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6/7) in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, or Law.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Labour Relations, collective bargaining, or case management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GPG and GPDRT policies, relevant legislation, and Public Service Regulations.
  • Excellent skills in people management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
