What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate finance and administration processes within the unit
  • Control office maintenance and oversee human resources and procurement matters
  • Monitor correspondence flow and manage target dates
  • Compile financial and administration reports, including travel claims
  • Provide expert budget advice to the Chief Directorate
  • Ensure effective financial projections, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage a variety of administrative duties related to finance and human resources
  • Liaise with Directors to consolidate budget reports and recommendations
  • Attend and convene Chief Directorate meetings, acting as the secretariat
  • Monitor financial irregularities and implement preventive measures
  • Facilitate asset management in accordance with the relevant frameworks

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Office Management, Business Management, Administration Management, Public Management, or Public Administration at NQF level 6
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory or Senior Administrative role
  • Proficiency in Administrative support and budget monitoring
  • Knowledge of Office Administration and the Constitution of South Africa
  • Familiarity with public service legislative frameworks, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel and work extended hours
  • Strong skills in accountability, service delivery, problem-solving, and time management
